Our story started in 2020 when Márton Veress moved back to his hometown Budapest from the United States. After living for almost a decade in New York City and Los Angeles, Marton had worked with some of the biggest names of the music industry like Chris Amott (Arch Enemy), Jake Pitts (Black Veil Brides), Eric Ron (producer – Panic at the Disco, Godsmack, etc.) Jay Gordon (Singer/Producer - Orgy, Linkin Park, Korn,etc.) just to name a few. When the pandemic forced Marton to move back home, he came up with the vision of International Music School Budapest, which started as a drum school called IDS (International Drum School). Due to the high demand for his drum lessons, Marton soon invited other professional instructors who share similar knowledge and professional teaching attitudes.

From its inception, the school has attracted students from around the globe, compelling us to continually expand our offerings. In 2023, responding to popular demand, we introduced a dedicated guitar and vocal faculty, and by 2024, we had further enriched our curriculum with piano and bass faculties. This growth reflects our commitment to providing a comprehensive educational experience, tailored to the diverse needs of our international student body.
