Gabor Irmalos is an experienced drum teacher skilled in rock, progressive rock, and Latin rhythms, with extensive performance history in diverse settings. After over 15 years in New Zealand, he now enriches IDS with his profound expertise and international musical insights.
Illes Halasz is a drum teacher with 25 years of experience and a diverse background in music, including work with orchestras and theater. Educated in Debrecen and Tel Aviv, he currently drums for the metal band From The Sky, bringing depth and expertise to his teaching.

Experience through rhythmic games and improvisations the joy of making music together!
No musical background is required. Each participant receives an instrument and under the guidance of the teacher, they learn some basic rhythm patterns. In the first lesson, the teacher explains how to use the instruments correctly: we will go through basic techniques and tips to get the best sound our of the instrument. Then, we will cover very simple rhythms and patterns with modern song examples. After learning the basics and a short break, its time to learn our first full song on the second lesson together! In the third 60 min session (optional) we will introduce the team members to some body percussion exercises. This session includes learning and performing a full song together as well.
