IMS students, come join us for a seriously special night of heavy music at Dürer Kert on September 25, featuring two bands with a very special connection to our school: Red Swamp and Til The End.
Red Swamp are celebrating 10 years since their debut album Tiszassippi, originally released in 2016. Since then, the Budapest groove/stoner/sludge metal powerhouse have won the Hungarian Wacken Metal Battle, played Wacken Open Air, toured extensively, opened for bands including Clutch and 1000mods, and built a decade-long reputation for crushing riffs and unforgettable live shows. Their fourth album, Peace and Hate, is out now—and at the heart of it all is Greg Kovács, Red Swamp's vocalist and one of our very own IMS vocal teachers.
And there's more: Til The End are celebrating the release of their brand-new self-titled debut album on legendary Lifeforce Records, dropping on September 11. Their modern take on the classic Gothenburg melodic death metal sound brings together an international lineup featuring vocalist Antony Hämäläinen, guitarist Kostas Sotos, bassist Nic Svensson—and Márton Veress, IMS founder and drum teacher, on drums. The band are hitting the road with their new album, and Budapest is their first stop on the tour.
So this isn't just another metal show—it's a chance to see two international-level bands up close, featuring two musicians who teach right here at IMS. Come support your teachers, your local scene, and some seriously inspiring musicianship.
